FD Persoonlijk presents: the innovators of 2020. They are young, up to 35 years old, and set the tone in the Netherlands and abroad. Meet a new generation of smart entrepreneurs and professionals.

While studying earth sciences, Graauw noticed that it is difficult to bring about social change through science. “And that, in a time where climate change requires societal changes in our consumption behaviour.” That’s why he uses his favourite medium of film for this purpose.

With his company Cavemen Studios, he makes documentaries and commercials for companies, such as a documentary series for an NGO about the effect of climate change on the Maasai in Kenya and the farmers in Tanzania. He also directed a commercial for a progressive employment agency for young people.

His sources of inspiration? International documentaries such as Home and The True Cost, which have been watched by millions of people. And, more importantly, affected consumer behaviour.
