DESCRIPTION: The film tells the story of three Surinamese soldiers who fought in the Princess Irene Brigade, the Dutch military unit that joined the Allies in the battle against the Third Reich. It features the voice of former paratrooper Guillaume Kranenburg: “We sought adventure, for the freedom of our homeland.” Together with Willy Wooter and Harry Davis, he traveled via Canada to England, where they joined the Princess Irene Brigade. In 1944, they were deployed during the Battle of Normandy.
